When the Cookies Feel More Powerful than your Goals!

Do you know that you wake up with a limited amount of willpower that is diminished throughout the day? One of the main ways we spend it is through decision making.

When you think about your relationship with food many people report that they struggle in the evening – wanting to snack, eating while preparing dinner, eating their kids leftovers etc… this is NOT your fault. Your brain is tired and therefore the willpower that you had in the morning is simply not there anymore. 

Here’s a tip – design your life in such a way as to minimize the decisions that you have to make so that you can reserve your willpower for when you need it the most (this is major self love).  One of my favourite ways to do this is by nourishing myself with a smoothie every morning…for me this is non-negotiable. It gives me the nourishment that I need while reserving my willpower for my “food decisions” later.

Here is one of my faves –
Glowing Goddess:
– 1 cup kale
– 1/3 cup cranberries
– 1 cup water
– grating of ginger to taste
– 1 cup mixed berries
– 1 banana
